A good chunk of my work experience was spent working as a butcher. From there I progressed into leadership before applying my customer service and management skills to real estate. For the last 5 years, I've worked as a part of LJ Hooker. I admire the way that the business supports its agents and property managers by looking for ways to stay ahead of competitors. The leadership team asks for input from us and embraces the use of technology to allow us to focus on customer relations.

I always enjoyed the face-to-face interaction with customers in all my work, which was one of the greatest appeals of working in real estate. The choice I made to join LJ Hooker was easy based on the longevity of the brand and that I was able to collaborate with my nephew Ben. He and I have enjoyed the success and collaboration of working as a team ever since.

I have spent all my life on Hobart's eastern shore, which gives me the confidence to support all my customers, whether they're buying or selling a home in southern Tasmania.

When I'm not working, I enjoy taking part in cue sports. I've played top-level 8-Ball and Snooker for many years and I am a life member of the Hobart eastern shore competition. I was also president of the association for 20 years, so the passion has certainly not subsided. One of my other hobbies is that I'm a keen budgie breeder, so I think the diversity of my interests is what's kept me involved for so long!
